Lace up your walking shoes and get ready to explore the beautiful Mt. Field National Park with this full day Mt. Wellington and wildlife tour from Hobart. Known for being Tasmania's oldest National Park and home to a variety of walking trails, Mt Field National Park is a mecca for nature lovers. This tour will visit a handful of the region's most popular sights including Russell Falls, one of Tasmania's most recognisable fall with its cascading three tiers, via the easy walking trail that further continues Horseshoe Falls. The Tall Trees Track is another trail you'll follow as it winds its way around the bases of the giant 80 metre tall Swamp Gums and takes you on an enjoyable journey through the relaxing and scenic rainforest where you might even encounter some local wildlife.

The Pandani Grove Trail is the third highlight for the trip as it leads you around Lake Dobson to explore of the park's quieter regions. If you're visiting in the winter months, you'll have spectacular views of the lake as it is covered in ice and flanked by fresh snow. Lunch will then be enjoyed at Mt Field before you continue your journey, however lunch isn't included in this tour so remember to pack your own!

This tour isn't all about exploring walking trails, you're also given entry into the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, a local wildlife park home to an array of Aussie animals including Tasmanian Devils, wallabies and echidnas. With more than enough time to explore the park, you'll then travel to your final destination; the summit of Mt. Wellington. Providing you with spectacular views of the greater Hobart region, this visit acts as the perfect ending to an incredibly scenic and enjoyable day within Mt. Field National Park.

Wonderful tour and great tour guide! We did the national park for three and a half hours, our guide was very knowledgeable about the different types of wildlife and plant life was in the national park. We then continued to Bonorong wildlife centre which was so great, the staff there were very helpful when you had any questions about the centre. Finishing up at mount Wellington, it was very cold but definitely a highlight, the views were beautiful!

Our Mt Field & Mt Wellington Tour was amazing

Our Mt Field & Mt Wellington Tour was amazing! We loved all the wild nature we discovered: cold weather rainforest, super diverse and unique fauna, Bonorong Sanctuary, etc. The guide was awesome, really made us enjoy it from start to finish with a lot of interesting information. I highly recommend it's a very nice and convenient way to discover Tasmanian Wildlife in one day. My favourite spot: Russell Falls !!

A marvellous day

A marvellous day. Our guide, Daniel, told us so many informative things regarding the local area and Mt Field and Mt Wellington. Gave us plenty of time to ask questions and take photos. The Bonorong Sanctuary was great in that we were able to feed the kangaroos and we had a very interesting tour with one of their guides when we saw a wombat, Tasmanian devils and koalas. A thoroughly enjoyable day.

This is a really good tour if you like the outdoors

This is a really good tour if you like the outdoors! There is a lot of walking/hiking which I loved. It was really muddy in the mountain so make sure to wear appropriate footwear. Our guide Clint was the best! And he was really knowledgeable about Tassie wildlife, etc. Would recommend booking if you're visiting Hobart!

We had an awesome tour that started out at Mt

We had an awesome tour that started out at Mt. Field National Park, where we checked out some the Tallest Eucalyptus trees, Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Lake Dobson. We then headed over to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, where we were able to see Australia's unique and oh so cute wildlife. Our tour ended with a trip up Mt. Wellington, from breathtaking views of the city. It was quite an invigorating experience as it was only 2 degrees C with a strong and cold wind chill. Nevertheless, it was an unforgettable experience! The experience made it that much better because of our knowledgeable and amazing tour guide Nick who was so thorough and accommodating. He even brought back the hat that I left in the van. Thank you so much, Nick, for everything!

Nick was an excellent tour guide

Nick was an excellent tour guide, he is so passionate and friendly and told us many interesting facts about Mt Field, Mt Wellington and Tasmanian. The view is also breathtaking. The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is also a must go, we got to see the Tasmanian Devil along with many other animals which were lovely. We also get to feed the kangaroo which is fun. Overall the trip is excellent and you will definitely enjoy it.
