We had a very enjoyable tour. The views were amazingly beautiful. Our tour leader, Lance, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Lance genuinely wanted us to experience the scenic views and stopped at different locations for us to take photos. I would highly recommend this to anyone who travels to gold coast. One of the best "back to nature" tours I've been on!
Our tour guide was really good and informative

Our tour guide was really good and informative, however the day was very disappointing due to the absolute dismal weather that had been forecast arriving. We were unable to do most of the planned activities due to the wet conditions creating safety issues. It was an expensive long day to basically have lunch. We feel that the tour should've been cancelled as the weather was horrible or at least have been given another option of either cutting the day short and getting a partial refund or maybe going to view the glow worm caves.

Great tour

Great tour, took us to the highlights including lookout spots, bush walks, waterfall, tree-tops and wine tasting. Perfect if you only have a day to visit the Hinterlands. Our tour leader was very knowledgeable and made the day enjoyable for all. My only criticism - not enough time at each spot!

I had a lovely tour for full day
Katherine 3 years ago

I had a lovely tour for full day. SHAE was knowledgeable and new about the area. The information on the history was informative. A smooth day and communication to the passengers was fantastic. Shae was approachable and flexible with drop off arrangements. Only minor change would be a little longer in Gallery road so we could have lunch, look around and do tasting at cheese and winery. Thank you. I had a a lovely day.

My husband and I attended the O'Reilly's tour with Scenic Day Tours in the Hinterlands

My husband and I attended the O'Reilly's tour with Scenic Day Tours in the Hinterlands. Our tour guide, Lance, was the nicest guy and full of knowledge about anything and everything! Did you know koalas have evolved to have steel bums so they can sleep in trees for hours and not go numb? HA! The alpaca farm was fun and the views were beautiful. I would have loved to stay in the Tambourine Mountain for a full day. It was full of cute shops and beautiful walks. The only down side for us was that we felt like we did WAY more driving than anything else. It is an hour and a half up to O'Reillys and then an hour down to Tambourine Mountain. I would have like to spend more time in the mountains or walking around the rainforest, but overall we had a great time and loved experiencing the Hinterlands. :)

Overall the tour is great with the leader

I'm writing to inform you that my friends and I had an amazing time on Tuesday (15th March) with our driver and guide being Barry

I'm writing to inform you that my friends and I had an amazing time on Tuesday (15th March) with our driver and guide being Barry. Barry's intimate knowledge of the significant landmarks, fauna and flora made the long commute (itself a visual delight due to the beautiful scenery and truly living up to the phrase 'scenic drive') very memorable. Please let him know that although many of us were asleep for some part of the trip, we (as least, I!) were paying attention for the most part. I chuckled when we drove past the Aquatic Centre and he shared his opinion (which I agreed totally) of it being roofless! Looking back, it would have been wonderful if we had slightly more time (additional 20 minutes?) at the Alpaca Farm because we barely interacted with the animals and explored the vicinity after what was already a very rushed breakfast (there was only one lady tending to us because it was their day off) at the cafe. Do note that this is not to be viewed as a complaint but rather a desire to enjoy something beautiful for a little longer. Same sentiment for the waterfall / town square: if I had my way, we would not have to choose between the two. While there was sufficient time for lunch, it was a shame that we had to choose between the waterfall or have an extra hour to explore the quaint shops. Again, this is not to be seen as a complaint but a lament. Eventually, I chose to explore the waterfall while the rest of my mates stayed on.

The driver cum tour guide is so senior
YY Chan 4 years ago

The driver cum tour guide is so senior, professional and experienced, he look after the whole group very well as the age difference is wide & international, some speak fair bit of English & pick ups are from various hotels, but all come together because of the love of nature, it is very easy for him to break the ice and engage talk among all of us and keep an eye on our safety when we are up climbing the mountains, he will always ensure he is the last to climb so he can easily do a headcount in case anyone of us wander off or get lost, he will do introduction of every place we stopped for and allow us to take photos at the perfect spots for viewing the mountains and waterfalls, even the farm trip was a surprise as he can drive us all the way up to another state, yet it is very educational tour. I was very lucky and blessed to have join this tour.

One thing that we appreciate very much is the fact that the driver drove all the way to pick us up at our far far hotel in Currumbin

One thing that we appreciate very much is the fact that the driver drove all the way to pick us up at our far far hotel in Currumbin, which not many other tours does.. Morning tea at Elpaca farm is awesome with the cute and adorable animals.. As nature freaks, we also love the hanging bridge walk, tree climbing at O'Reillys..The tour guide has really good eyes for wild animals as we saw some wallabies along the way.. We would love to spend more time at Mount Tamborine gallery walk though but unable to do so as we chose to take a walk in the scenic Curtis Falls, another extra half an hour at the walk would be great!

The Gold Coast Hinterland may not ba as well-known as the region's theme parks and other attractions, but is a beautiful must-see location regardless. Stroll along the boutiques of Gallery Walk, immerse yourself in natural rainforests, and see a different side of the Gold Coast with a hinterland tour.
